When someone searches “flooring installer near me”, Google shows three businesses — and they get the calls. Everyone else is invisible.
🛻
The flooring business down the road shows up in Google’s top 3 for every local search, so customers call them first. The difference? 80 reviews and a complete profile — you have 12. You never even know you lost the job.
📱
You mean to ask for a review after every job. But the moment passes, you’re onto the next call, and it never gets done.
⏰
You know you should be on social media. But between jobs, invoices, and the family — when? It just doesn’t happen.
💳
You’ve paid $79/mo for a marketing tool that did nothing — and the contract auto-renewed before you could cancel. You’re done with that.

You’re renting leads from Angi or Thumbtack — and the day you stop paying, they stop coming. The reviews and Google profile you build with Tradeloper are yours to keep.
How it works
Three steps, then it runs itself
Add the customer when the job is done.
Tradeloper emails them your Google review link.
You see the review count move, and hear about a bad one before your customers do.
Say your average job is $150. Tradeloper Starter: $19/month. Win one extra customer off the stronger review count and you’ve covered eight months of Starter. (Rank tracking and the heatmap are Pro, $49/month.) We’re too early to publish an average time-to-first-review we could stand behind — see the real numbers we do have.
Tradeloper is early. We are not going to quote you an average result we cannot stand behind, or testimonials you have no way to check. What we will tell you is exactly what it does today: it emails your customers a review request after each job, tracks your Google review count daily, and tells you when a bad review lands.
If that does not earn its keep, the money-back guarantee is there for precisely that reason.

✨ What makes us different: a full local rank heatmap across your whole service area at one flat price — no per-scan credits. Your best reviews turned into ready-to-post Facebook & Instagram captions, not just Google. And it’s built trade-first — mobile, one-tap, no marketing manager required.
💡 Why the gap? Most other review apps price for teams and pass an agency-style markup on to you. Tradeloper is built lean for the one-van operator and sold direct — so the same work costs a fraction of theirs: Review collection starts at $19/month; the get-found toolkit — local rank tracking, profile scores, job pins, AI posts and the reviews widget — is Pro at $49/month.
Competitor pricing based on publicly listed plans, verified August 2026 (a few not re-verified since June — each comparison page lists its own as-of date and source) and may vary. Feature comparisons reflect core review-collection and social-posting functionality.

Why it matters
Why Google reviews decide which flooring contractors get the call.
A new floor is a big-ticket, once-a-decade decision, so when someone is ready to spend a few thousand dollars they search "flooring installer near me" and pick the installer the way they pick a contractor for any major job - by reading reviews and trusting the shop with the most 5-star proof. The problem is that flooring is not repeat work, so unless you are asking, most happy customers never think to leave a review after the crew packs up. Tradeloper asks every customer for a Google review by email the moment the job is done, while the new floor still looks perfect and they are still excited about it. On Pro it also tracks where you actually rank for "flooring installer near me" across your service area, scores your Google Business Profile, and turns finished jobs into social posts. The goal is simple - be the flooring name that shows up first and looks the most trusted when a homeowner in your town is finally ready to buy.
The numbers behind local rank
Reviews are roughly 16–20% of Google map-pack ranking, and Google now weights recent reviews over older ones.
A complete, active Google Business Profile is about a third of local ranking — category, completeness, and posting activity.
Source: Whitespark Local Search Ranking Factors, 2026.
A new floor is a big, scary purchase, so buyers lean on reviews harder than almost any other trade.
Nobody drops $3,000–10,000 on floors on a whim. They are picturing a botched install, a crew that damages the walls, or a company that disappears mid-job. A wall of recent 5-star reviews is what turns that fear into a phone call. Tradeloper makes sure every finished floor becomes another review that reassures the next nervous buyer.
Flooring is not repeat work, so if you do not ask, the reviews never come.
A homeowner might replace their floors once a decade. They love the result, they tell a neighbor, and then they move on with their life - they never go back to Google to post about it. That means your best jobs leave no trace online. Tradeloper sends the review request automatically the day the job wraps, so your reputation grows with every install instead of staying stuck.
Homeowners hire the flooring crew that shows up first and looks local - rank and proximity decide who even gets the call.
Most people never scroll past the top three flooring results on the map. If you are buried on page two, the jobs go to whoever Google puts up top, even if their work is no better than yours. On Pro, Tradeloper tracks your local map-pack rank for the searches that matter across your service area and scores your Google Business Profile, so you can climb into the spots that actually get clicked.

Google reviews, explained
How Google review counts actually work.
A lot of people arrive on this page trying to check the rating or review count of one particular business — a flooring installer they are about to hire, or a competitor across town. Here is how to read those numbers properly and what makes them move.
To be straight with you: Tradeloper is software a business owner runs on their own Google Business Profile. We cannot look a listing up for you, and we do not host a directory of other people’s ratings. The steps below take about ten seconds and work for any business on Google.
Checking any business’s review count yourself
Search the business name together with its town on Google or in Google Maps — the way you would type Solid Ground Flooring followed by the city. The town matters: trade names repeat across the country, and without it you may be reading a different company’s profile entirely.
Read the number beside the stars. The figure in brackets is the total number of reviews published on that Google Business Profile at that moment — not lifetime reviews, and not reviews from Yelp, Facebook or anywhere else. Each platform keeps its own separate count.
Open the reviews and sort by Newest. This is the part most people skip, and it is the most useful. A profile with 400 reviews where the newest is two years old tells you something quite different from one with 60 reviews where the newest is from last week.
Why a profile shows the rating it does
The star rating is a plain average of the reviews currently on the profile. Nine 5-star reviews plus one 1-star average to 4.6. That is why one bad job drags a young profile down hard while an established one barely registers it — and why volume is a defense, not a vanity metric.
A review count can go down, and usually nobody deleted anything. Google removes reviews that break its content policies, and reviews go with a profile when it is merged, moved or closed. A count that drops is normal housekeeping far more often than it is foul play.
Counts are per location, never pooled. A company with three branches has three profiles and three separate review counts, so the one you are reading may cover only the branch nearest you.
Recency is weighted, not just volume. Reviews are roughly 16–20% of what decides the Google map pack, and recent reviews carry more weight than old ones — which is why a steady trickle beats a one-off burst. Source: Whitespark Local Search Ranking Factors, 2026.
Flooring has a quirk that costs installers reviews: the job finishes weeks after the customer first called, so by the time the last plank goes down the excitement has already worn off. The day the crew clears out and the furniture goes back is the day a request still lands - after that it fades fast.
If the profile you are checking is your own
Then everything above is just the scoreboard, and there is only one way to move it: ask every customer, on every job, while the work is still fresh in their mind. That is the part almost every flooring business stops doing the moment the week gets busy — and it is the job Tradeloper does for you, automatically, by email after each job is closed out.
Review collection starts at $19/month; the get-found toolkit — local rank tracking, profile scores, job pins, AI posts and the reviews widget — is Pro at $49/month.
No credit card. 30-day money-back guarantee on every paid plan.
Reputation
Review management for flooring companies
Flooring is a once-a-decade purchase. Your customer researches for weeks, reads far more reviews than a plumbing customer ever would, and then does not buy again for years — so the reviews on your profile are doing the selling long after the people who left them have forgotten you.
The review is usually about the install, not the sale
A customer picks the product in your showroom and then judges you on the crew who moved their furniture and cut the trim. If installers are subcontracted, your rating reflects people who do not work for you — which is a reason to ask deliberately, not to stop asking.
The right moment is weeks after the invoice
Nobody can judge a floor on the day it goes down. They judge it after the sofa is back, the kids have run on it, and the seams have either held or not. Asking at hand-over is asking too early.
High ticket means every review is compared
Someone spending five figures reads the one-star review carefully and looks for your answer to it. A reply that addresses the specific complaint does more for the next buyer than the review does damage.
Carpet lasts 5–15 years, LVP 15–25, laminate 10–30, engineered hardwood 20–30, solid hardwood 30–100 with refinishing every 10–20, and tile 50+. Your customer is choosing between materials whose lifespans differ by a factor of ten, and almost none of them know that.

What Tradeloper does
Tradeloper sends the review request by email after a job, tracks your Google review count daily so you can see whether the trend is moving, and alerts you when a negative review lands. AI drafts a reply in your voice on Pro.
What it does not do
We do not remove bad reviews, and we do not ask only the customers likely to say something nice — review gating is against Google's policy and gets profiles penalized. Replies are drafted for you to paste; we do not post them to Google.
Get found
The right Google category for a flooring contractors
Primary category
Flooring contractor
Correct when you install at the customer's property. Flooring store is the showroom category and implies somewhere customers can walk in.
Watch out
If you have no showroom, do not use Flooring store as primary. A storefront category on a service-area profile is a mismatch Google's reviewers look for.
Yes - when you ask at the right moment. A homeowner who just watched their old carpet turn into beautiful hardwood is proud of the change and happy to say so, but only for a day or two before life takes over. Tradeloper sends the request by email right when the job is finished, so you catch that window instead of hoping they remember weeks later.
Two ways. More recent 5-star Google reviews push you up in the local map pack, and on Pro Tradeloper tracks exactly where you rank for flooring searches across your service area so you can see it working, with a geo-grid heatmap that shows your rank block by block, plus a Google Business Profile score that tells you what to fix to climb higher.
That is exactly when it matters most. Because flooring is high-ticket and low-volume, every single review carries weight - a shop with 40 reviews looks far safer than one with 6, and that gap can decide a $5,000 job. Turning even a few installs a month into reviews compounds fast, and Starter is $19/mo with a 30-day money-back guarantee, so one extra job pays for a year.
Yes, on Pro. A fresh hardwood, tile, or LVP install is the kind of before-and-after that does well on Facebook and Instagram, and it is free proof of your work. On the Pro plan Tradeloper uses AI to write social posts from your jobs and can auto-post them to your Facebook Page, so your best work stays visible without you touching it.
Search the business name together with its town on Google or in Google Maps, then read the number in brackets next to the star rating - that is how many reviews are published on its Google Business Profile right now. Tap that number to read them, and sort by Newest to see how recent they are. One thing to be clear about: Tradeloper cannot look a business up for you. It is software you run on your own Google profile, not a directory of other people's ratings.
Usually nothing sinister. Google removes reviews that break its content policies, and reviews go with a profile when it is merged, moved or closed, so a count can fall without anyone deleting anything themselves. Because the star rating is a plain average of the reviews that remain, a removal can shift the rating as well as the count.
Right now Tradeloper is email-first, which works well for flooring since you almost always have the homeowner's email from the estimate or invoice. Text-message requests are coming soon. Everything else works today regardless: daily review tracking on Starter, and local rank, the Google Business Profile score and AI social posts on Pro.
Yes — signing up is free and we don’t ask for a card. You get a 14-day free trial: add customers and send real Google review requests right away, so you can watch it actually work before you pay. Rank tracking and AI are capped during the trial — the geo-grid heatmap runs on a sample map instead of your own scan, you get one tracked keyword and one manual rank check, and 3 AI generations in total across posts, photo captions and review replies — and they live on Pro once the trial ends, not on Starter. When the trial ends, pick a plan ($19/month Starter for review collection, or $49/month Pro to keep rank tracking, AI posts and replies) to keep sending — and every paid plan is backed by a 30-day money-back guarantee. You can cancel from Settings whenever you like: pick a reason, confirm, done.
That depends on how many jobs you finish, because every completed job is one review request — your job volume sets the pace, not us. We would rather be straight with you than quote an average: Tradeloper is new, and our members are still too few to draw one from honestly — we publish their actual, live review numbers on our results page instead of advertising a figure we cannot stand behind. What we can promise is the mechanism — ask every customer right after the job, follow up once if they don’t act, and watch your review count daily so you can tell inside a couple of weeks whether it is working for you.
No. Email review requests are included in your subscription — no per-message fees, no surprise overages, no matter how many customers you add.
Most aren’t. The request is short, friendly, uses your business name, and reads like it came from you — not a marketing blast. It’s a single polite ask with a one-tap link and an easy opt-out. If you’ve already done good work, customers are usually happy to help.
The email review request arrives in their inbox with a one-tap link — many older customers tap it from a laptop at home. A polite follow-up goes out a few days later if they haven’t left a review yet. If a customer has no email, just ask them in person on your next visit.
Add them whenever you remember. The customer never knows when you set up the request — they just get a review request from you. Whether you add them 10 minutes after the job or 3 days later, it sends as soon as you tap Send. Most owners batch the day’s customers in the evening over a coffee.
Yes. As long as you have the customer’s name and email address and they’ve agreed to be contacted, you can add them. A mobile number is optional today — text requests are coming soon. Plenty of Tradeloper users run mixed residential/commercial books. Use the Notes field on each customer to track which side they’re on if it matters for your workflow.
Asking right after a job well done — when the customer is happiest — is the single biggest lever on review quality, and it is what Tradeloper automates. You can also pause review requests for any individual customer in one tap from your customer list. We never filter who gets asked (that’s illegal under the FTC’s Consumer Review Rule), but timing matters enormously.

Create your account, add your Google review link, add your first customer. Tradeloper sends the request and turns your best reviews into posts — so you show up and win the call.
